New Yorker Cartoons

A large part of my work is making single panel gag cartoons for the New Yorker, Red Cross and other magazines and humanitarian organizations. I love making cartoons that mix cultural commentary with humor. Below are a selection of cartoons that appeared in the New Yorker magazine.

Trail Cartoons

I also love making cartoons while on long distance hikes and bike rides - it allows me to work with a more feral, live, raw, eccentric and colorful part of my self and my art. I’ve through hiked the Pacific Crest Trail, the Colorado Trail, The Camino de Santiago (Camino Frances), the Tahoe Rim Trail and I’ve bicycled across country - drawing throughout all of these trips and finding a style of art that fits the physical and mental intensity and weirdness of these trips. Below are samples of cartoons made while hiking the Continental Divide Trail, which the book will be about (and which I am currently hiking in the summer of 2021).
